When you hire, you pay the service price plus the platform's service fee, with VAT on that fee. All of it appears in front of you before you confirm.
The client fee
TugaFreela charges the client a service fee of 10% of the service price, plus VAT at the applicable legal rate. That fee pays for the platform, the infrastructure, the messaging system, order tracking, financial and document management, security mechanisms, client support and dispute handling.
Example with a €1,000 service
| Service price | €1,000 |
| Client fee (10%) | €100 |
| VAT on the fee (23%) | €23 |
| Total paid | €1,123 |
On the other side, the freelancer pays a 10% commission on the service price, also with VAT, deducted from what they receive. They are two separate fees, one for each side, each with its own document.
VAT on the service itself
VAT on the platform fee is one thing; VAT on the work the freelancer does for you is another. It is the freelancer who decides whether they charge VAT, whether they are exempt and whether the price includes it — and it is the freelancer who invoices you for the service. See who issues which invoice.
