Deadlines, revisions and what counts as delivery

The rules once the work has started, for both sides.

The deadline

Each package's deadline runs from the moment the order starts and the freelancer has what they need from you. If they asked for materials and those never arrive, the clock is not running against anyone — but put it in writing in the conversation.

What a valid delivery is

Delivery is made through the order's own function and must:

  • match what was contracted;
  • include the agreed files or access;
  • be made within the deadline;
  • be sufficiently identified.

Informal messages, incomplete files or requests for an extension are not deliveries. Neither is an empty delivery made only to stop the clock.

Revisions

You can ask for the revisions included in the package whenever the delivery does not match what was contracted. Revisions must respect the original scope and come with clear instructions. What they cannot be is new work in disguise: requests outside the scope lead to an additional offer.

Manuel watches the deadlines

Two days before the deadline and on the day itself, the freelancer gets a warning. If the deadline passes without delivery, the client is warned too, and reminded that the money is still held. No deadline slips by in silence.
