Why the distinction exists
A payment can be reversed after the fact: a bank chargeback, a refund, a dispute. If the money had already left the platform, somebody would lose out. Pending balance is the window in which that possibility still exists.
Where to see it
In your dashboard, in the withdrawals area, you have both amounts separately and, on each order, the expected release date.
