Changing your password and protecting your account

The basics that prevent ninety per cent of problems.

Changing your password

In your dashboard, under Password, enter the current one and the new one. If you can't remember the current one, use recovery on the sign-in page.

A good password

  • Used only for TugaFreela. Reused passwords are the most common cause of compromised accounts.
  • Long. Three or four words together beat eight complicated characters.
  • Kept in a password manager, not on a note on your desk.

Signs someone got into your account

  • messages you did not write;
  • services or projects you did not publish;
  • changes to your IBAN or profile details;
  • withdrawal requests you did not make.

If you see anything like that, change your password immediately and tell us. Reporting unauthorised access is an obligation under the Terms, and the sooner the better.

We never ask for your password by email, chat or phone. No member of our team needs it.
